We are finally at the finish line, as Whalebacker is ready to start shipping your books! That also means we are locking addresses, so if you need to make a change to your address, please do it in the next 24 hours.

Now for the really fun part-- Doug just got his box of books to check out for the first time. Give it a look and let us know what you think of these sweet graphic novels!

Holiday Shipping Update

Leading with some good news, the books arrived at Whalebacker a few weeks ago (see a few photos below-- they look amazing!), but due to the printer delivering them about a month later than expected, we lost our window and they were not able to ship before Christmas. I was hoping we might make it, but it just wasn't in the cards. We'll have an update the first week of January, but we've been assured that the books will go out next month.

We still have some backers that have not completed their surveys, so if you haven't done that yet, please click the link below so we'll have your delivery address:

Also, we will be locking address January 2nd, so if you need your books shipped to a new address, please update that info ASAP.

Check out the photos below, and if you ordered the deluxe edition of PLASTIC, note how big the book was printed (it's a monster!). All the different copies turned out great, and we hope you love them as much as we do.

It was confirmed today that our books arrived into the port in Los Angeles this past Friday (whooo!). Now we wait for them to be cleared by customs and head out to Whalebacker before eventually shipping to you! 

It could be a week or more weeks before they leave for the fulfillment warehouse, but as soon as we get the notification that the books are moving out of the port, we'll let you know.

Update from the printer

Hi everyone! We just got an update from the printer, and our new tentative delivery date to the USA is 11/17/23 (this is when the books will arrive at the port in Los Angeles). That's about a month later than what they told us when the print files were turned in, but it's the nature of the printing industry the last few years. If you've backed one of our previous Kickstarter campaigns (THOMAS RIVER or YUMI) this is the same printer, and you can expect the same level of quality, which is ultimately worth having to wait a little longer (the good printers stay busy!). 

Regarding the Backerkit surveys, a little over 80% of you have responded (thank you!). If you haven't received your survey email, please message us here and we will get you the link ASAP.

Judging by the activity, it looks like a ton of you have already completed your survey (thank you!).

If you don't see your survey email from Backerkit, be sure to check your spam folder; if you don't find it there, please shoot us a message here with the email you'd like us to use and we'll get that changed and resent.

Also, the printer gave us a tentative ship date of 10/13/23 to depart from Korea and head across the ocean to the port in CA. It will take a few weeks to cross the ocean and a week or two after arrival before we can get them on a freight truck and headed to the fulfillment center. We'll keep you posted, but things are now moving at a good clip.
